Shocking

I am proud of being British, but I have no desire to return there and live. I see Malaysia as home...for now. The story on this link is shocking. I really don't know what to say about it. I try to eat a healthy diet, I admit I slip up fairly often but one thing I do avoid is fast food - unless I have had too much to drink and I just don't care any more about what I eat.
If you need any wake up call at all as to how screwed up the system has got in the UK this women's story is IT. At 40stone, she gave birth to triplets at the cost of GBP200,000 to the NHS. What is wrong with her? She says it's a 'thyroid' problem. I say it's the crap she eats that she is now passing onto her 8month old babies! Double the weight they should be, the babies eat more calories in one day than some adults. AND they had their first taste of McDonald's at 6months old!! 6months old I tell YOU!
BTW: I was going to put the picture of this 'young lady' on the blog. But I am damned if I am going to have that kind of image on here!!! So if your curious go to the link and prepare to read and be shocked.

I have a couple of books on this matter. One is "The Fast Food Nation" and the second "Diet for New America". I will need to dig out the books and furnish the details. The second book is noticeable on two points beside the fast food topic. Firstly the writer is John Robbin, the heir who inherited Baskin Robbin and sold off the empire to return to simple life. Secondly Dave Scott the famous early Ironman top finisher in Kona (many times) is vegetarian!!!

good god...

that's not pretty good example of a mum...

and with more ads by FF companies in msia advertising them for lunches and breakfast..., we could have the same scenario here...lets hope not.

I found the book "Fast Food Nation" by Eric Schlosser. Published by Penguin. A really really good book.

As for hoping ff doesnt become big here, your hope is dashed. ff is already big here, creating similar effects.

Occasional eating ff is ok esp if we burn the calories. ff is cheap and nice to eat :) You see the non exercising city pple in ff joints. Same as what the book talked about in US and UK.
